Our Story

Frontier Design was founded on International Peace Day in 2015 by a lifelong civil servant tired of the stagnation and toxicity in big name organizations. Knowing that a better path was possible, Alexa founded Frontier with the mission of using the tools of human centered design and systems thinking to help bold leaders address the critical challenges facing leading organizations around the world.

Over the last ten years, we've grown a lot: expanding our team to include multidisciplinary advisors across strategy, monitoring and evaluation, AI, change management, learning and development, and more, and working with mission-driven organizations across the federal, nonprofit, tech, academic, and corporate sectors.

What hasn't changed is our core purpose and mission. Ten years later, we're still committed to helping courageous, imaginative leaders tackle big challenges and deliver meaningful change that can deliver a better future.
