Bio

Robin Vande Werken is an experienced advisor working at the intersection of human-centered design, behavioral economics, and AI safety. She brings over a decade of experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across technology, education, civic engagement, and philanthropy. At Frontier Design, she has led human-centered and ethical AI evaluation efforts, designed adversarial threat scenario testing, and designed and facilitated risk-mitigation workshops in the election security space. Her career spans diplomacy, program management, and research, including oversight of Fulbright programs across 23 countries, where she strengthened global partnerships and resilience systems while working closely with the U.S. Department of State. Robin combines deep listening, empathetic facilitation, systems thinking, and data-driven insight to advance human capabilities through responsible AI.

Robin holds an Ed.M in International Education Policy from Harvard University, and a BA in Latin American Studies and International Development from Tulane University.
